Jihyea Jang is a Minneapolis-based contemporary artist. She was born and raised in South Korea. She started to have an interest in making artworks when she was in middle school. Back then, her work shows about time, herself, and her life as a subject matter. She went to art high school, graduated in 2012, and then came to the United States in 2015 to study more about contemporary art and western arts. In December 2018, she finally achieved her BA degree in art from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a thesis artwork "Beaty&Fame"(2018). Since then, she has been focusing on drawing and painting realistic and creative portraits by using pencil and watercolor most of the time and showing them in galleries and magazines sometimes. Her recent artwork "Self Portrait 2020" and "A Healthcare worker" are published on Quaranzine from Prove Gallery in Duluth, Minnesota.
